The House is truly breathtaking. From the explosion of verdant life and colour when one enters through the reserve, like Alice going through the rabbit hole and into another world, filled with objects that intrigue and mystify, Each with their own tale and story to be told. It has the most dreamlike rhythm and poetry, tied together by the use of colour and temperature changes, as well as satisfying the wildest imaginations of romance and beauty.
A Maharajas tea hut suspended above a swimming pool adorned with statues and columns carved by exotic empires and kingdoms centuries ago. A Buddhist meditation seat floats with the tea hut gazing into the infinite watery horizon and on to the icy South Pole. Iron and copper clad doors that once welcomed and defended the palaces of Rajasthan beckon and entice the eye leading one on to a writing desk that can only be fit for an emperor or Tsar, with its gleaming metal work and inlay that shimmers in the candlelight. The canvased walls and polished wooden columns enhance the feeling that one has perhaps stepped into Napoleon’s campaign tent. Pure poetry! It is a place that evokes a period of profound meditative gratitude and awareness.
