A small, well-manicured garden with handcrafted wooden furniture is the first thing you notice when entering the Seaside Cottage.
This 2 bedroomed, ground floor self catering apartment has a modern cottage feel to it and is ideal for families. Furnished with light, breezy décor and accents of Africa; it’s a creative dichotomy between modern Camps Bay and traditional Africa.
There is something peaceful and spiritual about this place. The view of the Camps Bay horizon and the intricate personal touches throughout the apartment create a tranquil atmosphere. Berkley Apartment is housed behind glass sliding doors which open out onto a garden and small patio area.
Neatly tucked away in the corner on the patio are two sun-loungers, cleverly hand carved by the owner. Step inside the Berkley Apartment and you’re welcomed into a quaint lounge and dining area. The large cherry-wood dining table, comfortable sofa and intricately designed white wicker chairs create a homely, comfortable atmosphere. African masks, heavy-wooden cabinets, wind chimes and subtle influences of Egyptian art create a down-to-earth, holistic feel to the apartment.
The rustic floor tiles in both the kitchen and lounge provide a welcome respite from those languid hot summer days. As you meander through the lounge and kitchen you’ll notice a bathroom on the right which has an interleading door into the second bedroom.
The bathroom, complete with a bath and shower is well appointed. The double bedroom is elegant and modern with gentle patterns on the scatter cushions and duvets. The main bedroom (on the left) has an en suite bathroom and a large mirror which frames the room and creates a feeling of spaciousness.
A generous desk area extends the length of the room, creating additional storage space and a work area should the need arise. Berkley Apartment is a warm residence in a prime location. Camps Bay beach, the popular promenade cafes, restaurants and shops are a 1 minute walk away on a flat road.
